The Hermitage has installed web cameras that show online round-the-clock Palace Square and the Winter Palace, and also the Great Courtyard of the Winter Palace, the Raphael Hall in the New Hermitage and Matisse Hall in the General Staff building.
At any time of the day or night, you can admire the grandeur of Saint Petersburg’s main square, the
architectural ensemble of the Winter Palace, paintings by Henri Matisse or Raphael Santi’s masterpiece
Madonna and Child.
The web cameras can also be useful for assessing the queue to enter the
Winter Palace or even to spy on the famous Hermitage cats.
