MEDFORD — Southern Oregon's largest Juneteenth celebration brought in crowds to Pear Blossom Park throughout the afternoon Saturday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

Crater's Josiah Tostenson (532) won the Class 5A boys 1,500 meters title at the Oregon high school state meet last month at Hayward Field in Eugene. Tostenson's Crater teammate Tayvon Kitchen (526) finished in second place.

A 37-year-old woman under an exclusion order from a homeless camping site by City Hall was arrested on a criminal trespassing charge at 12:06 p.m. Friday. When informed she was being arrested, she threw an object at an officer but "missed high," the officer reported.

The songs, stories and sounds of Johnny Cash will fill the Rogue Theatre as James Garner's tribute to the Man in Black returns to Grants Pass on June 28.
Tickets to the 8 p.m. show are $45, $54.50 and $64. Only about 20 seats remain. Visit roguetheatre.org.
Concertgoers can expect to hear familiar Cash favorites, such as "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line" and "A Boy Named Sue" as well as songs from Cash's historic albums "At Folsom Prison" and "At San Quentin."
