Where we are?
At Loch Sport, right between Lake Victoria & the fabulous 90 Mile Beach. One of the best kept secret locations in Australia surrounded by the Gippsland Lakes National Park. Just 250km from Melbourne , this is a fisherman's paradise offering lake & surf fishing for iconic species such as snapper, gummy shark, salmon, dusky flathead, Black Bream, King George whiting & mullet. Shark fishermen regularly catch Bronze Whalers off the beach.
What we do?
Enjoying fabulous recreational fishing & doing our bit to make the sport in the Gippsland Lakes & on the 90 Mile Beach enjoyable & sustainable. We actively participated in the successful campaign to have the State Government compulsorily buyout the last 10 commercial netting licences operating in the lakes (all netting ceased on April 2020), we run Kid's & Ladies Fishing Experience days, organise regular fishing trips & have installed a 24/7 live beach webcam & integrated weather station on the 90 Mile Beach at Loch Sport to provide intending recreational fishing visitors with accurate beach condition & weather information.
Welcome to Peli's at the Boat Club
The new hospitality venue in Loch Sport jointly managed, promoted & developed over time by the LS Boat Club and LSFA.
The strategy was to create a club type venue in Loch Sport that will be open to club members, locals & visitors to town alike.
The venue is available for private, club, sporting & community events.
The LSFA crew is very excited about this opportunity to jointly contribute to the creation of a vibrant & successful community-based hospitality venue in Loch Sport – while the main interest will be driven by keen boating & fishing enthusiasts, the strategy is to create a club environment where everyone will always be welcomed, & indeed to enable them to contribute by way of their participation to the growth & prosperity of the new venue.
Peli’s is now open every Wednesday and Saturday from 3.30pm
