About
This portal aggregates real-time traveler information from Caltrans's 12 districts and provides it in common data formats for download. The data originates from Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices deployed alongside the California State Highway System, including Changeable Message Signs (CMS), Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV), and Roadway Weather Information Systems (RWIS), as well as central software systems for Chain Controls and Lane Closure information.
