TTAD ALLOCATES $2M FOR WILDFIRE MITIGATION

In a resounding display of commitment to community safety and environmental stewardship, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD) has announced the approval of $1,934,500 in funding for eight district-wide wildfire mitigation projects. The decision, approved unanimously in a 5-0 vote at the 4.24.2024 Airport District board meeting, marks a significant step forward in proactively addressing the threat of wildfires in the Truckee Tahoe region. Join us for another great FLY SAFE Pilot Proficiency program event at 5:30 - 7 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the terminal building community room. The topic is Loss of Thrust on Takeoff & Messed Up Go-Arounds, presented by Joe Rajacic CFIA, CFII, A&P, NASA Sim Pilot and 22 year Boeing 747-400 pilot!  This event will will be in a hybrid format, both in-person and digitally via Zoom. Board Workshop meeting from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. The discussion topics will be Airport Capital Improvements and PI 311 Community Benefits.
Regular Monthly meeting at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Come and participate in a Rusty Pilots program with fellow lapsed pilots. We will help you understand what’s changed in aviation since you last took the controls and brush up on your aviation knowledge.  Join us from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm, on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Airport Terminal Bldg Community Room. The cost is Free for AOPA members, or $89 to sign up for AOPA membership and the Class. Note: KTRK will cover AOPA membership/class registration fees for pilots enrolled in KTRK's FLY SAFE program who are not currently AOPA members.
